STUTTGART — A liquor store south of the rice mills has emerged as top seller of Arkansas lottery tickets, and the store’s owner and local officials say it’s not clear why.

G&B Liquor sold $905,186 in tickets from the start of the lottery on Sept. 28 through March 21, according to the Arkansas Lottery Commission.

Those sales outstripped the $763,450 in sales at Zimmerman’s Exxon in Little Rock, which initially led in lottery-ticket sales and now ranks second.
