The Camden Advertising and Promotion Commission said yes to funding free summer movies at the city’s nearly completed riverfront park amphitheater. Meeting in regular monthly session Tuesday, the commission also gave approval to spend about $64,000 on repairs and improvements to Sandy Beach Park, appropriated $8,000 to advertise the 2010 BPW Barn Sale and delayed action on any parks spending at Carnes Park and the Boys and Girls Club of Ouachita County. The commission also denied a request by Radio Works for $5,000 in matching funds for an upcoming event.
