MCNEIL – The City of McNeil recently received a gift of history from former resident Dr. Tom Pullig, who presented city leaders with several framed photos taken during the small town’s heyday.

The photos, which include shots of railroad trains, Civil War soldiers’ quarters and stores that no longer exist, hung for many years on the walls of Pullig’s medical offices in Magnolia, and when the time came to take them down, he knew just who should get them, he said.
