Concerns about the safety of its members while they practice baseball and softball at Carnes Park following last week’s shootings were on the minds of Ouachita County Boys and Girls Club boards members meeting in regular session Monday.

Board members and audience participants praised the efforts of city officials following a shooting incident that resulted in two arrests. At least 20 shots - based on the number of shell casings police reportedly recovered from the park - were fired while teams practiced at the park one week ago tonight.

No one was injured.
