Burglars broke into a local club early Monday morning and made off with a substantial about of cash, most of it in rolls of quarters. Merchants and businesses are being asked to contact police if a customer attempts to pay for a purchase with quarter rolls.

According to Det. Glenn Gilbert of the Camden Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division, the Cellar on Adams was broken into between midnight Sunday and 5 a.m. Monday.

Gilbert said suspects entered the club through the basement.

He declined to say how much cash was taken during the break-in.
