For the past 40 years Harmony Grove Water Association has had a water supply agreement with Shumaker Public Service Corporation. That agreement expires in January, and if all goes according to plans now being made by several groups, Harmony Grove will be getting water from Camden Water Utilities via a 25,500-foot, 16-inch water main that will stretch under the Ouachita River. The cost of the project is an estimated $2.5 million.

The project will be paid for with a combination of state and federal grants and loans.
