A Camden man was robbed and shot Tuesday evening as he left work at a local restaurant.

According to a Camden Police Department report by Officer T.J. Robertson, an unknown suspect shot and robbed Alfrod “Freddie” Garcia about 9:30 p.m. as Garcia walked home from his job at the White House Cafe on Adams Avenue.

Garcia was reportedly shot in his left hip. He was taken to Ouachita County Medical Center for treatment, but was not listed as a patient today, according to a OCMC spokesman.
