Organizers and volunteers of the 2010 Ouachita County Relay for Life learned during a wrap-up meeting Tuesday that the event has raised $163,676 so far. This total made Ouachita County number three in Arkansas regarding fundraising for Relay for Life, according to Brenda Knight, community representative for the Relay for Life in South Arkansas.

Knight said the official deadline for receiving contributions to the Relay for Life for this fiscal year is Aug. 31, so the total for Ouachita County will probably increase a little more before the official tally is completed.
