The Camden Advertising and Promotion Commission has appropriated $9,000 in advertising funds for upcoming events. The commission also agreed to spend almost $10,000 on an etched, stone “Welcome to Camden” sign.

Meeting in regular monthly session Tuesday, commissioners agreed to spend $9,975 to have Camden Monument Company produce a near-six-foot-tall stone sign that will greet visitors entering Camden from the north on Arkansas 7, about a block before the railroad overpass on Van Buren.
