MAGNOLIA (AP) — Authorities say a 13-year-old was stabbed by another student during a fight at Magnolia Junior High School.

The Magnolia Police Department says the 13-year-old got into a fist fight with a 14-year-old student on Monday afternoon. Detective Todd Dew tells the Banner-News that the 14-year-old had brought a knife to school and began to stab the younger student.

Dew says the fight was broken up almost immediately.

The 13-year-old was initially treated by a school nurse then taken to Magnolia Regional Medical Center. His condition wasn’t released....
