The Bearden basketball teams were able to avoid all the bad weather on Friday by getting their games played on Thursday evening, and picked up three wins in the process.

The Bearden senior boys team defeated Woodlawn 79-47 to cap a clean sweep by the Bearden squads, after the Lady Bears defeated Woodlawn 45-7 and the Cubs downed Woodlawn 60-35.

In the senior boys game, Davidell Collins scored 20 points and pulled down 16 rebounds to lead the Bears, who improved to 11-5 overall, 8-4 in 7-2A East conference play with the win.
