Three Cardinals sign up for college ball


National signing day Camden Fairview had three players sign national letters-of-intent to play college football next season, including (front from left) Johnathan Cooper to the University of Ark.-Monticello, Ryan Purifoy to Arkansas Tech, and Sybhrain Berry to Missouri State. The players were joined by the CF coaching staff and their parents, including, front row center right, Donna Murphy, front far right, Robert Berry, back row from left, Gary Steelman, Sherman Brooks, Edgar and Gretchen Cooper, Elijah Williams, Cheryl Purifoy, Mark Jones, Lee Murphy, Buck James, Robert Hooks, and Brian Hembree.
The long, strange trip through the recruiting world of college football is finally over for Sybhrain Berry.

Berry, a 5-10, 180-pound defensive back from Camden Fairview, joined teammates Johnathan Cooper and Ryan Purifoy in the Birdhouse earlier today to sign national letters-of-intent to play college football next season.

After the three seniors helped power Camden Fairview to the Class 5A state championship game for the first time in school history, Berry signed to play football with the Division I-AA Missouri State Bears, while Purifoy signed with Div. II Arkansas Te...
