BEARDEN - Coach Christy Thompson and her Bearden Lady Bears senior girls basketball team used a big first quarter and big third quarter as they celebrated their annual Senior Night with a hard fought 47-40 win over the Smackover Lady Buckaroos Friday night before a good crowd.

Bearden jumped out to an 8-10 led at the quarter break only to see Smackover battle back and tie them at 21-21 at intermission. During the third quarter, Bearden regained their lead by outscoring their visitors 17-10 enroute to their 7-point win.
