SMACKOVER – One of the 7-2A East heavyweights had their season ended without setting foot on the floor.

Tuesday evening, the district tournament received a lengthy and unexpected delay when Smackover administrators were notified that Strong was going to forfeit all of its wins.

The Bulldogs – who relied heavily upon a young nucleus of players -were 23-3 overall, conference co-champs and had automatically qualified for the upcoming regional at Mineral Springs.
