After 22 years, Beasley resigns as HG Hornets head football coach


Head Hornet no more Joe Paul Beasley, who has served as the senior high head football coach for Harmony Grove for 22 years, has resigned. Beasley will remain at the school as the athletic director.
The dean of the Ouachita County coaches has resigned.

Joe Paul Beasley, who has served as the head football coach for the Harmony Grove Hornets for 22 years, has stepped down from his position as head football coach.

Beasley said he met with HG Superintendent Harold Davidson and Walt Pigott, high school principal, on Friday, and informed his players of his decision on Monday. He said he then called his family, and called many of the people who had worked closely with the football program over the years and informed them.
