The Lakeside Rams honored their coach in the best way they knew how — with an inspired effort against the 5A Southwest’s top team.

The Rams defeated the league leading Camden Fairview Cardinals 62-59 in overtime Tuesday night at Ram Fieldhouse, one day after Lakeside basketball coach Tommy White’s son Ryan was killed in a one-car accident in Mississippi. Assistant coaches Daniel Riggin and Chris Brock filled in for Tommy White Tuesday night.
