JESSIEVILLE — The Harmony Grove Lady Hornets showed they weren’t intimidated in their first trip to the state tournament since 2003, and they proved they belonged as well, as the HG team battled the No. 1 seeded, host team Jessieville Lady Lions down to the final quarter before falling 55-41.

The loss in the first round of the tourney ends Harmony Grove’s season at 9-13. Jessieville advances to face either Greenland or Mountain View in the quarterfinals on Thursday at 7 p.m.
