The Stephens Roadrunners never trailed in its 55-49 win over Benton Harmony Grove in round one of the Class 2A State Tournament at the Carlisle Bison Arena Tuesday.

Yet, Roger Jones’ team was unable to claim a lopsided triumph.

In fact, late in the final quarter, this game was still up for grabs.

Benton Harmony Grove, a four seed from the West Regional, scrapped throughout the affair, thus it had a chance for an upset victory.
