The Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions didn’t get the assist they were hoping for from the NCAA Tournament selection committee.

The Golden Lions (17-15), who qualified for the NCAA basketball tournament for the first time after beating Texas Southern in Saturday’s Southwestern Athletic Conference championship game, will face Big South Tournament champion Winthrop (19-13) on Tuesday in the NCAA’s play-in game in Dayton, Ohio.
