It took a minute or two to get their bats going, but the Harmony Grove Hornets returned to their winning ways on Friday by defeating the Drew Central Pirates for the second time in a week.

After downing the Pirates 6-0 last Monday, the Hornets (8-2) were upended by Woodlawn in non-conference action on Tuesday before coming back to top the Pirates 5-1 on Friday.

Drew Central scored the first run of the game in the top of the third on Friday, when Aaron Goad, who had walked, scored on a double by Billy Wilmoth.
