CAMDEN — Wade Smith
Wade Howard Smith, 43, of Stephens, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, at the VA Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
He was born on July 8, 1973, in Camden, to Lemuel Smith and the late Ruth Herring. Wade proudly served his country from 1992-1996 in the United States Navy on the USS Kalamazoo, stationed out of Norfolk, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Herring.
He is survived by his sons, Jacob Smith of Jim Thorp, Pennsylvania, Jeremiah Smith of Greenbriar, and step-son, Hayden Herman of Greenbrier; his dad, Lemuel Smith, and stepmother, Deborah Smith of Camden; his stepfather, Rodney Herring of Stephens; his sister, Dee Wilson and her husband, G. Brent Wilson, of Tecumseh, Michigan; stepsisters, Kim Burton of Camden and Dana Nale and her husband, Keith Nale, of Shreveport, Louisiana; step-brothers, Brad Herring and wife, Stacy Herring, of Smackover, and Josh Herring and wife, Chrystal Herring, of Benton; and many nieces and nephews including Bee Wilson, Katie Bateman, Wesley Nale, Haley Herring, Ashton Herring and Austin Herring.
Eternal Rest Funeral Home of Dallas, Texas, is in charge of the arrangements.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Timothy United Methodist Church, 1800 California Ave., S.W. in Camden.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donation be made to Timothy United Methodist Church.
