Camden native Kiffany Smith wins plus-size model award

— Camden native Kiffany “Shanaye” Smith recently won the Arkansas Grammy for Arkansas’ Plus Size Model of the Year.

Smith is the daughter of the Rev. Lonnell and Renea Moore and Zaphrey and Barabara Anderson. She is a 2007 graduate of Camden Fairview High School where she was also the 2007 Mrs. Upward Bound winner.

She attends New Generations Church in Conway where she is led by the Rev. Tramaine and Lakeshia Harris.

Smith is also the founder of Sophisticated Divas where she mentors young ladies to love themselves first and to believe that they can be anything they want to be.

She began her modeling career in 2015 with the Kurvy Kuties of Little Rock

under the leadership of Kimbie Akins.

“I would like to thank God, my family and friends and everyone that voted for me,” Smith said. “I love being a model and I hope winning this award will inspire all of the young ladies back home. You are beautiful. I’m humbled, but I know this is just the beginning.”

The Arkansas Grammy Awards was created by Arkansas Premier Promotions owner, Bruce Williams.

Smith will receive her award during the Arkansas Grammy Awards on Aug. 25 at the FOE Building, 6200 Aerie Street, in Little Rock. Tickets are available by contacting Williams via Facebook.
