Harmony Grove lists its Boys & Girls State students

— Harmony Grove High School has announced its 2019 delegates for Arkansas Boys and Arkansas Girls State to be held May 26-31.

Students are selected for this six-day citizenship training with girls attending Harding University, and boys attending UCA in Conway.

To be nominated for Girls State or Boys State, the students have to meet the following criteria:

Leadership, character, honesty, scholarship, cooperativeness, and community participation and service.

The school administrators say they are thankful that “local businesses have chosen to sponsor these students and see the benefits these summer programs provide our youth.”

This year, the Harmony Grove High School faculty selected the following juniors:

• Taylor Cano is the daughter of Amanda Jennings and Michael Cano and granddaughter of Lisa and David Billingsley of Camden. She is sponsored by Ouachita Electric Cooperative Corporation of Camden.

• Nicolas Dickinson is the son of Jason and Niki Dickinson of Camden. He is sponsored by First Arkansas Bail Bonds and by Woodfield Trucking.

• Hayley Eads is the daughter of Scott and Stacy Eads of Camden. She is sponsored by WEHCO Video of Little Rock.

• MaKenna Holder is the daughter of Traci Holder of Camden, Cody Holder of Waco, Texas and granddaughter of Robert and Phyllis Mays of Camden. She is sponsored by Farmers’ Bank & Trust of Camden.

• Olivia Knight is the daughter of Larry and Vicki Knight of Camden. She is sponsored by Generations Bank of Camden.

• Abraham Mitchell is the son of Alan Mitchell of Camden and Zhang Yi of Jackson, Mississippi. He is sponsored by Ouachita Electric Cooperative Corporation of Camden.

• Kathryn Totty is the daughter of Wade and Rebecca Totty of Camden. She is sponsored by Shelter Insurance Agent Robert Murry of Camden.

• Jessiah Womack is the nephew of Demoyne and Elizabeth Gray of Camden. He is sponsored by Farmers Bank & Trust of Camden.
