CAMDEN — Robert E. Dodson
Robert Edwards Dodson of Camden passed away at his home on Friday, November 29, 2019. He was the son of the late Earl D. “Doodle” Dodson and Grace Dodson of Camden and was born in Camden on January 13, 1932. He was married for 52 years to Ruby Bryant Dodson who passed away in 2010.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Watts Sunday School. He graduated from Camden High School in 1950. He graduated in 1960 from Southern States University in Magnolia, A with a BBA degree.
He is predeceased in death by his wife, Ruby Bryant Dodson and a daughter Robin Ellen Dodson both of Camden, Four sisters Harriett McKean, Belva Dudley, Grace Day, Alice Harrell, one brother John Dodson, and his parents Grace Bird Dodson and Earl Doodle Dodson of
Camden
He is survived by one daughter, Mary Lynne Gaston, and her fiance, Joey Guthrie of Sparkman. Grandchildren, Brittney Craig of Hot Springs, Kelsey Craig of Hot Springs, Allison Deaton of Arkadelphia, April Gaston of Sparkman, and two great grandchildren, Lex Blevins of Camden, and Collin Deaton of Arkadelphia. Brother, Earl “Bud” Dodson. brother and sisters in law, James Lee and Theresa Bryant, and sister in law, Donia Bryant, Lorene Bryant Robinson and husband, James and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today, December 4, 2019.
Funeral services are at 10:00 a.m December 5, 2019 at Proctors Funeral Home Chapel. Burial is at Memorial Park Cemetery.
