CAMDEN — Margaret Nelson
Margaret Horton Nelson, age 92, of Camden, died December 25, 2019. She was a homemaker and a member of Unity Baptist Church. She was born September 12, 1927 in Sayre, AR to Curley and Johnnie Flores Horton. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roger Nelson; grandson, Christopher Yossett; son-in-law, Warren Brown and brother, Curley Horton, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Judy Medford (Robert) of Camden, Donna Pepper (Bruce) of El Dorado, and Susan Brown of Little Rock; son, Michael Nelson (Joann) of Camden; sisters, Lois Riccardi and Edith Street (Joe) of Florida; grandchildren, Rob Medford (Gena) of Texas, Rebekah Medford (Heather) of Oregon, Jeff Walthall (Brandy) and Sherrie Hutchinson (Nathan) all of El Dorado, Brian Nelson (Leslie) of Tennessee, Joy Adams of Smackover, Belinda Sims (Stan) of El Dorado, and Joshua Smith (Ashley) of Guam; great-grandchildren, Dustin Medford (Kaylie) of Sherwood, Katy Medford of Magnolia, Claire Medford, Ben Lau, and Peter Lau all of Oregon, Zach Walthall, Sailor Burke, and Carmen Burke all of El Dorado, Rachel Nelson, Phillip Greer, Logan Sims, Heath Sims, Natalie Hutchinson, Jeremiah Hutchinson, Aiden Smith and Adelyn Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews. Our appreciation goes out to the hospital staff and doctors of OCMC, Dr. Lawrence Braden and nurses of hospice, and caregivers with special appreciation to Paula Dacheux.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Beirne. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
