New Seminary Church

sets Family/Friends Day

New Seminary Church, located at 542 Ouachita 1 in Stephens, will hold its Family and Friends Day program at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24. The guests will be members of Toones Chapel in Tulip, Arkansas, and the Rev. Norma Guillen will be the guest speaker.

Cullendale Church to

host special programs

Cullendale First Baptist Church, 1850 Cash Road, will host the Arkansas Master’ Singers at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21. The concert is free, and the public is invited.

A news release states that the group consists of more than 200 members from ministers of music, worship leaders, directors, accompanists, choir leaders, pastors, staff members and staff spouses from Baptist churches throughout Arkansas. The men’s chorus began in 1961, and the women’s choir started in 1973.

The church will also host the Church Women United of Camden and Ouachita County’s observance of the “World Day of Prayer” from 10 a.m. until noon on Friday, March 1. The public is invited.

Greater St. Paul Church, 896 S. Adams Ave., will celebrate its Annual Men’s Day with a Trinity Prayer Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, in the church’s fellowship hall. the Rev. Elijah McDaniel will be the guest speaker.

On Sunday, Feb. 24, the Annual Men’s Day Service will be held at 3 p.m. the Rev. David Featherstone and Greater Second Baptist Church of Little Rock will be the guests.

Pilgrim Rest plans for

black history program

Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 675 Viser Ave. will hold a “Black History Celebration” at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24. The theme will be “Praying for a Reason.”

The guest speaker and church will be the Rev. Roy Aaron and First St. James Baptist Church of El Dorado. Lunch will be served at 1:30 p.m.

Camden Central District Churches of God in Christ Headquarters at 310 Pearl St. will hold a convention from Feb. 28 - March 1 celebrate 69 years of being a district in the state of Arkansas.

On Feb. 28, the speaker will be District Missionary Pearlene Garrard at 7 p.m. At 6:30 p.m. on March 1, District Supt. Jerry W. Gaston Sr. will hold a relationship clinic, with evening worship is set to begin at 7:45 p.m.
