Preston Cranford, 82, of Camden, passed away on Saturday December 29, 2018, at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock.

He was born on July 21, 1936, in Camden to the late LeeRoy and Margaret (Lane) Cranford. He retired from International Paper were he worked for 38 years. He was the owner and operator of Cranford’s Trucking for many years. He was also a member of the Arkansas National Guard.

He enjoyed riding his tractors and working on his farm, building furniture in his wood shop, catching catfish, hunting in the Ouachita River bottoms, and spending time with his family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Roy Jr. (RJ), Harold, and William Thomas, and his son, Jimmy Preston.

He is survived by his brother, David Cranford and wife, Betty, of Camden; his daughters, Joyce Mayes of West Fork, and Jackie Lewis and husband, Bubba, of Shreveport, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Brandy Longmire and husband, Rob, of Greensboro, North Carolina, Micah Chambers and wife Jenna of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Kira Hungate and husband, Clayton, of West Fork, Chris Rodrigues of Marshall, Texas, and Trista Jordan of New Braunfels, Texas, and eight great-grandchildren, Lauren, Jordan, Samantha, Preston, Colton, Katie Grace, Jessman, and Brantley Cash.

Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with interment at Liberty Cemetery at Louann.
