CAMDEN — Pamela Horne
Pamela Gail Horne, 71, of Hot Springs and formerly of Camden, passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at National Park Hospital in Hot Springs.
She was born on Oct. 24, 1947, in Camden. She was a graduate of the University of Arkansas and was a retired English teacher in the Bearden School District with 30 years of service. She was a former member of First United Methodist Church of Camden and was a current member of First United Methodist Church of Hot Springs.
She was preceded in death by her father, Claude Gordon Horne; and her mother, Helen Russell Horne.
She is survived by her cousins, Jane Gatewood and husband, Marvin, of Rector, Arkansas and Thomas Dansby and wife, Lois, of Pueblo, Colorado; dear family friend, Susan Burnham Faulkner; surrogate children, Joseph Faulkner and Gretchen Faulkner White; and surrogate grandchildren, Chase White, Skylar White and Ashlynn Faulkner - all of Hot Springs.
Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday before the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ouachita County Historical Society.
