Martha Eagle Lewis of Camden went to be with her Lord on Jan. 28, 2019, at the University Village Assisted Living and Memory Care in Round Rock, Texas. She was born in Camden, and was 101 years old.

She was a member of Word Aflame United Pentecostal Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years and was active in the Ladies Auxiliary.

Church was the center of her life, and visitation to nursing homes was a mission that she pursued well into her 90’s. She enjoyed interacting with people and particularly enjoyed working at J.C. Penny for 20 years. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ellis F. Lewis; her mother and father, Mary (Hufstedler) and Cawthon Eagle; two sisters, Frances Cox and Thelma Bradshaw.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Terry of Springdale, Brenda Warnock and husband. Jerry. of Round Rock, Texas, and Janet Bennett and husband, Jim, of Austin, Texas; seven grandchildren, Gregg Jeter and wife, Lisa, of Azle, Texas, Jeff Jeter of Springdale, Arkansas, Cindy Johnson of Temple, Texas, Brad Warnock and wife, Amy, of Cedar Park, Texas, Heather Hodges and husband, Vince, of Tupelo, Mississippi, Tracey Carleton and husband, Adrian, of Austin, Texas, and Brian Bennett of Brooklyn, New York; 14 great-grandchildren; four nephews; and five nieces.

Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, followed by the memorial service at 2 p.m., also at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Camden. The Rev. Glenn Clark of Farmington, Missouri, will officiate the service assisted by the Rev. Michael Shelton - pastor of Word Aflame Church, and the Rev. Larry Stacy - previous pastor, now serving in Fordyce.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Word Aflame United Pentecostal Church, 1621 Cash Road, Camden, AR. 71701.
