— 64th Lambert Reunion

will be held on July 6

The 64th Annual Lambert Community Reunion will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, at White Springs AME Church in Bearden. The speaker is Elder Claudis A. Lambert, Assistant Pastor at Westside Church of God In Christ, Rockford, IL. Mistress of Ceremonies Ms. Trish Lambert Hines of Fordyce, AR. The 2019 Focus is “Top Family Travel Tips: Are We There Yet?”

Everyone is encouraged to attend, dress ‘church casual,’ and enjoy lunch.

The LCR is held at 1 p.m. the first Saturday each July. Proceeds from the reunion supports the maintenance, beautification and expansion of the White Springs Community Cemetery. The event serves as a community homecoming and memorial recognizing the reunion’s Founding Father.

First Landmark MBC

will host revival event

First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, 1674 Maul Road, will hold a revival from July 8-12. Speaker will inblude Jared Picket, Cole Bailey, Tommy King, James Cox, and Donnie Dillard.

Pilgrim Rest list its

upcoming programs

Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 675 Viser Ave., will hold its Youth Day at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, July 14. The guest speaker will be Bro. Antonio Davis of Douglas Chapel Baptist Church in El Dorado. The theme will be “Speaking with Authority and Power.”

The church will also hold a Youth Revival at 7 p.m. nightly from July 15-17. The revival will share the same theme as the Youth Day. The evangelist for the event will be the Rev. Felton F. Burgie of Morning Star Baptist Church in El Dorado.

Vacation Bible School

Maul Road Church of Christ, 1425 Maul road, will hold Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. until noon from July 15-18 for children ages three through those who are entering eithth grade. For more info., call 836-5038.

Elliott Baptist Church

welcomes new pastor

Elliott Baptist Church welcomes its new pastor, Johnny Parrack, and his wife, Judy. He has pastored churches in South Arkansas and led worship as well. Johnny comes to Elliott from Trinity Baptist in Benton where he served as worship pastor for several years.

Johnny gave his life to Christ in 1981 while serving on a church staff as Music and Youth Director. He has also received his Doctorate of Theology. The public is invited to worship at 10:45 a.m. on Sundays, with Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday nights Bible Study begins at 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
