Dickson Chevrolet closes its doors

CAMDEN — On Tuesday, July 9, the Dickson Chevrolet, Buick, GMC dealership - shown above and located on 1985 California Avenue - closed its doors, according to Operations Manager Geri Richardson. “As of 5 o’clock yesterday, Dickson Chevrolet is no longer in business. All employees have been laid off, ” Richardson told the Camden News on Wednesday. According to a Facebook post - and confirmed by the Camden News via a telephone conversation with a person who wishes to remain anonymous - employees were told about the lay-offs by phone calls by management on Tuesday evening. As of Wednesday, there was no information about whether another party will take over the dealership.
