Hickory Ridge Church

sets upcoming events

Hickory Ridge Baptist Church will hold Vacation Bible School at 6 p.m. nightly from June 10-13. The theme will be: “On Safari - Managing What Belongs to God.” The classes are for all ages.

The church will also hold an 18th Appreciation Service for its pastor and his wife, Dr. and Mrs. Shad Porchia, at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 16. The Rev. Elijah McDaniel - associate minister at Greater St. Paul Baptist Church - will be the guest.

New Haven plans its

Vacation Bible School

New Haven Baptist Church, 336 Stewart St., will hold Vacation Bible School at 5 p.m. from June 10-14. June 14 is “Fun Day” and hours may vary.

Rising Star Church

plans annual revival

Rising Star Baptist Church in Amy will hold its annual revival at 7 p.m. nightly from June 12-14.The evangelist will be the Rev. James Scott of Shady Grove Baptist Church.

The church will also observe its 108th anniversary at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 23. A church-history presentation will be given by Mary Furlow.

Macedonia AME sets

special presentation

Macedonia Camden Sons of Allen will present “Brothers United for Christ” at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, at Macedonia AME Church, 2906 South Adams Ave.

The guest speaker will be Camden Mayor Julian Lott, who is also the pastor at Koinonia Grace Church in Camden.

Men’s Day program

Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church on Arkansas 376 North will host a Men’s Day program at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 23.

The guests will be Shiloh Baptist Church and Dr. H. Earl Anderson.

sets its VBS program

Oasis Church Camden, 2409 Mt. Holly Road, will hold Vacation Bible School from 6-8:30 p.m. on June 29 with the theme: “Wild West Adventure.”
