The Camden Fairview Cardinals and Lady Cardinals had several student athlete obtain post season recognition for basketball. Tai’Sheika Porchia was announced to the All State team and is nominated to play in the Arkansas High School basketball game over the summer.
The Angelina College signee also made the All Conference team along with her teammates Jayla Jackson and Anna Dawson. Dawson and Jackson are two-time All conference performers. Qwaishaun Thompson made all tournament team.
The Lady Cardinals won 19 games this season to have its best season since 2013.
The Cardinal boys had three student athletes named to the All Conference team and two more that received honorable mention.
Qwaishaun Thompson, Jalen Moore and sophomore Dashaire Ford were all announced to the All Conference team. Thompson was also named to the All Tournament team.
Tyree Holliman and Javien Clemmer were named as honorable mention. This was the first year for both players competing on the varsity basketball roster. Holliman played basketball in junior high but focused on football his sophomore and junior year before returning to the court for a senior campaign. Clemmer started several games for the Cardinals an was an energetic play maker.
