The 5th Annual “Kidz Runnin’ The Show” Corvette car show will be held March 22 -23.

The light show is scheduled for 8 p.m. on March 22 at the Comfort Inn, followed by the Corvette Car Show that will take place from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on March 23 at the old Walmart Parking Lot at 1270 Highway 4 Spur.

The show is hosted by the E.B. Williams Youth Center, and admissions into the car show is free.

Local DJs will be on hand to keep the attendees entertained, and refreshments, contests, trophies, door prizes, dash plaques and goodie bags will be given to participants.

Participation is open to all Corvette owners near and far, and to clubs and groups. The show will include all classes of Corvettes from C-1 to C-7, stock and custom with, first, second, and third place trophies offered for each class along with a host of specialty awards as well.

The car show is intended to help children build leadership skills, enhance critical thinking and instill confidence as they will be “running the show” according the event’s organizer Eric Gunter.

All proceeds benefit the EBWYC’s “Gift of Progression” program. The program benefits traditionally provides at least $400-$500 book scholarships to high school seniors, and book bags with school supplies for area kids, according to event organizer Eric Gunter.

The cost to pre-register for the car show is $45. To register day of the show is $50.

The cost to register for the Friday Night Light Show is $10.
