The Camden Bulls Peewee organization will host a co-ed softball tournament on May 25 at Carnes Park.

Proceeds will go toward benefiting the Bulls Peewee players and cheerleaders.

Tournament organizer Ron “Fruit” Askew said that so far teams are coming in from all around south Arkansas and that it will be a one day tournament. He added that the work done on the softball field at Carnes Park has been great and that it is a great way to get more people to come into the city.

“We are going to just have fun and raise money for a good cause,” Askew said. “That’s what it’s all about. We have a lot of good kids here and we want to be able support their goals and mentor them. It’s going to be a lot of good competition, so we want everyone to come out. It’s also a testament to the city because they did so much hard work down there at the park. We gotta use it and we can’t let it go to waste.”

The registration deadline is May 20.
