Douglas Wade Williams was born to Clinton and Florence Albert Williams, on September 23, 1959, in Little Rock. He passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at his home.

He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and a 1977 graduate of Harmony Grove High School.

His career with the U.S. Navy spanned 20 years until retirement. He was an employee of Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA).

He was preceded in passing by his parents, Clinton and Florence Albert Williams; his grandparents, Walter and Ruthie McCree, Joseph Williams, and Linnie Mae Albert; a sister-in-law, Kelly Williams; a nephew, Jeremy Lara, and one great-nephew, Landon Williams.

He is survived by his children, Tasha Williams of Richmond, Virginia, Tiera Williams of Laurel, Maryland, and Keenan Williams of Miami, Florida; sisters, Valerie Wilson and Sharon Sherman - both of Camden, Arkansas; and two brothers, Clinton Williams of Camden, and Tony Williams of Memphis.

Williams Funeral Home Van Buren is in charge of the arrangements.

Public visitation will be from noon until 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, at the funeral home on Van Buren

The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at Shady Grove Baptist Church.

A celebration of his life will be shared at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, at Shady Grove Baptist Church. Interment will be at Shady Grove Cemetery
