Dorothy “Dot” Allen Criley, 82, went home to be with her Lord, on Monday, May 20, 2019.

She was born in Bethlehem, Arkansas, on Jan. 31,1937. She was the daughter of Dewey Edward Allen and Viola Farris Thornberg Allen of Magnolia, Arkansas. Dot loved flowers, being outdoors, and enjoying a cool breeze. She loved fishing, the glow of a fire, being with friends, and spending time with the Master Builders; but most of all, she loved her family and holiday gatherings.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jake Allen, of Magnolia; a sister, Kathryn Allen Paris, from Roseville, California; a son, Rod Edward Diffee, of Midland, Texas; and a grandson, Adam Joseph Mayes of Deale, Maryland.

Survivors include her loving husband, John L. Criley of Chidester, Arkansas, who adored and cherished her for 49 wonderful years; three daughters, Rhoda (Randy) Stinnett of Chidester, Arkansas, Shirlena (Bob) Mayes from Deale, and Tessa (Martin) Wilson, of Camden, Arkansas; two sons, Roger T. Diffie of Chidester, and Jerry (Jeremy) Criley Wayne of Oak Leaf, Texas: daughter-in-law, Lozella Diffee Tatum of Indianapolis, Indiana; nephew, Don Paris, of Irvine, California; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves two precious pups, Baby and Buddy.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. today - May 23 - at Bethlehem Cemetery in Spotville, Arkansas. Bro. James Cox of New Liberty Baptist Church will officiate the service.
