James Duncan

— James Duncan

James Richard “Ricky” Duncan, 66, of Camden, entered his eternal home on Monday, May 20, 2019.

He was born in Camden to Richard and Flossie Chambliss Duncan on Aug. 5, 1952. He was an employee of Lockheed Martin for 34 years and a graduate of Fairview High School. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing in tournaments as part of the Lockheed Martin Bass Club.

He was a devoted husband, brother, friend, uncle and one great uncle. Ricky always knew he was a great uncle, but often joked that his nieces and nephews made him an even greater uncle. They will always be thankful for their special relationship and wonderful memories. His family feels truly blessed to have shared this earthly journey with him.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Brenda Chambers Duncan; his brother, Jerry Wayne Duncan; and his parents, Richard and Flossie Chambliss Duncan.

He is survived by his brother, Earl Duncan and his wife, Jan; his sister, Marie Duncan Word; a host of nieces and nephews, Deanna, Kenny, Jeremy, Tammie, Robert, Terry, Jimmy and Angela; several great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great-nephew.

Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, May 24, at Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today, May 23, at the funeral home.
