Bearden Science and Gifted and Talented student attend and compete in the Drone Conference at Henderson State University. Each student attended four workshops on Drone and UAS related career fields. Emma Beard, Nora Taylor and Natalie Weaver placed first in Drone Videography. Trace Hall, Emily Graves, and Eden Wood placed second in Drone Building. Bradley Gilmore placed second in Drone Photography and Kamie Reaves and Bradley Gilmore finished first and second respectively in Drone Photography.

“I’m very proud of their performance,” Bearden teacher Jana McWhorter said. “They only had a couple of months experience working with the drones in GT class. The opportunity for all students to hear and meet individuals working in all professions with UAS is cutting edge and something I hope our students can use in future endeavors.”
