Cardinal Volleyball sweeps McClellan

— The Camden Fairview Cardinal volleyball teams were dominate at the Bird House on Tuesday with both the JV and V teams sweeping Little Rock McClellan.

The game was originally slated for 4:30 p.m. but McClellan was late and the JV made them pay for it winning the first set 25-13 and the second set 25-9. Then the Varsity Cardinal were victorious in three straight sets; 25-15, 25-11 and 25-9

CF junior student athlete Takhia Jones was named the player of the game after serving the ball 22 times without a single error. She also led the team in kills with seven.

CF Head Volleyball Coach Allie Rybiski’s squad served at 92 percent during the game. Senior Madison Thurman had five kills and junior Mary Green had four. Zoe Goss chipped in with three while Tamia Dandridge (2) and Gabbie Tidwell (1) got into the fray.

Julia Milner, Tidwell combined for 25 serves and only three errors as Kennedy Lee (1), Katelyn Elliott (2), Green (4) and Dandridge (4) all served at 100 percent.

Green led the team in Digs with four followed by Dandridge with three. Milner, Jaylei Massey, Thurman and Tidwell had two each.

Tidwell was the teams leader in assists with 16 as Green, Milner, Dandridge and Thurman combined for 41 receptions and only three errors.
