CAMDEN — Alton Sanders
Alton A. Sanders, 78, of Louann, passed away on Monday, Aug. 26, 2019.
He was born to Luther and Annie McKinney Sanders on April 6, 1941, in Camden. He retired after 34 ½ years with International Paper Company.
He raised chickens for ConAgra for 18 years, and he also raised cattle.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Novella Byrd; and an infant sister.
He is survived by his wife, Ranelda Sanders of Louann; daughter, Rane Thibault and husband, Joe, of Louann; granddaughter, Katelynn Gifford of Louann; brother, Carlton Sanders and wife, Linda, of Heber Springs; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the funeral home with burial at New Hope Cemetery in Woodberry.
