Freddie “Ricky” Porchia was born on March 28, 1958, to H.B. and Joyce Neal Porchia. He departed this life on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019.

Ricky was known for his ability to draw and he had a knack for ”teasing” everyone. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He was a 1976 graduate of Camden High School and worked at Elk Roofing, Atlantic Research Corporation, and Arquest. His last years of employment was as a cross-country driver for J.B. Hunt, and then as a local driver for Blann Trucking Company in Hampton.

He is survived by four children, Rico L. (Teneka) Porchia of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Prethecia Lindsey of Camden, Rekia S. (Jeremy) Porchia and Kiara Porchia of Little Rock; 11 grandchildren, Kassidy, Zylan, Arianna, London, Paris, Skylar, Layla, Koran, Rico Jr, Khali and Zaydon; brothers, H.B. Porchia of Mesquite, Texas; John Porchia of Little Rock, Willie and Larry Porchia of Camden; sisters, Linda Porchia-Brown of Camden, Sarah Lindsey of Tyler, Texas, and Vivian ( Kenneth) Hervey of Little Rock.

Williams Funeral Home Van Buren in Camden is in charge of the arrangements.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31, at Good Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Bruce Porchia. Interment will be at Good Hope Cemetery.

Public visitation was from 1-7 p.m., with the family the hour from 6-7 p.m. - all on Friday, Aug. 30, at the funeral home.
