— The Camden Lions Club received some pro-tips from a world traveler and life coach during the group’s weekly meeting at Catherine’s Bistro.

Arnessa Bennett dropped a bit of knowledge on the group concerning the path to a positive life.

Bennet’s website states,

“Arnessa Bennett, MDiv, CDP, is a licensed minister, with a prophetic anointing, life strategist coach and talk show host who went from motivating Arkansans to speaking at an international masterclass in Dubai. Arnessa is an expert in human behavior evidenced by her education.

“She has an Associate degree in Theology, a Bachelor degree in Religious Arts, a Master of Divinity, a certified Dementia Practitioner and now a licensed minister. For more than 25 years she has been helping people be the best they can be in both their personal and professional life.

“Mrs. Bennett is the founder of her own non-profit, Arnessa Bennett Personal & Professional Development Institute. She says: ‘When you finally get… how powerful you and your mind truly are, and declare, claim and decide to own it, then you will see your desires in life start manifesting.’”

Bennett told the club that she starts every day with a prayer and meditation.

“Because we live in such a fast-paced world, it’s like family, church, community, we’re doing stuff,” she said.

“But sometimes we just need to take a little pause and just think about our life.”

Bennett, who is nearing 60, said that she plans to live to 100 and is already making plans for the next 40 years.

She said that her morning prayers are also a time to visualize and make a plan for the day.

She also cautioned against falling into a mindset of doing things one way because they were always done that way.

Bennett stated that the reason why some people do the things they do - and in the exact way that they do them - is “because it’s how your parents did it, or how your teachers did it growing up, or your grandparents.

“So, sometimes you have to think about ‘I’m an adult. I’m grown. I have my own family. Do I have to still do things the way I’ve always done them?’ And you don’t.”

Bennett said reprogramming the mind is essential and one of the easiest ways to do that is to go an entire day without speaking negative words.

Most importantly, Bennett stressed self love. She said a healthy diet and steady supply of water is vital to staying healthy.

Bennett left the Lions Club with a parting bit of wisdom:

“What people say or think about you is none of your business, only what God does. So do you.”
