CAMDEN — The Camden Fairview Cardinals golf team is set for the 8 - 4A south tournament on Tuesday in Monticello.
The Cardinals golf team is coached by Troy Keith and will enter the tournament on a two match winning streak.
The Cardinal boys were victorious in a 5-team match against Moticello, Fordyce, Magnolia, Dumas and McGehee by shooting a 134. Tyler Wendling led the team with a 44 followed by Khol Jones and Chad Sponer who both shot 45. Adam Mosley scored a 47 and Joey Hobbie shot 48. McGehee finished second in the match with a score of 136 on a three- man team.
Then the Cardinals traveled to DeQueen where they defeated Dequeen, Mena and Ashdown with a score of 130. Mena came in second with a score of 133.
This time it was Hobbie and Jones who led the team by both shooting a 43. Smsley shot a 45 while Sponer (44) and Wendling (47) rounded the scoring out.
