CAMDEN — Mary Swan
Mary Allene “Dinah” Brazeale Swan, 79, of Counce, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, Sept. 6, 2019.
She was born on Aug. 22, 1940, to the late Homer L. and Mary D. Shaddock Brazeale. Mary graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.
She taught school in Hughes and Crawfordville, Arkansas, before retiring from the Selmer, Tennessee, school district. Mary loved to cook and make candy. She was very active in genealogy research. She loved her family and spending time with her granddaughter, Emily.
Survivors are her daughter, Rebecca Grooms and husband, Johnny, of Woodbridge, Virginia; one brother, Gene Brazeale and wife, Wilda Sue, of Sparkman; one niece, Teresa McCauley of Arkadelphia; and one nephew, David Brazeale and wife, Denise, of Sparkman.
A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Sardis Cemetery near Sparkman with Peggy Abbott and Max Deaton officiating.
