CAMDEN — Dora Rhodes
Dora Rhodes, 89, of Camden, passed away on Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, at the Ouachita County Medical Center.
She was born on March 5, 1930, in Browns Springs, Arkansas, to Grover and Ida Wilmon Byrd. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy M. Rhodes; daughter, Pat Ray; and husband, John; son, Clifford Neal Rhodes; grandson, Scott Daniel Rhodes; great-grandsons, Taylor Steelman and Jeremiah Ray; great-great-granddaughter, Mia Starks; brother, Fred Byrd; sister, Edna Gibson Hughes; and son-in-law, Horace Ray.
She is survived by sons, Donald “Dusty” Rhodes and wife, Jean, of Camden, and Chris Rhodes and wife, Christine, of Houston, Texas; daughters, Lynda Ray of Sparkman, Arkansas, and Mona Elliott and husband, Pete, of Camden; sister, Sarah Ausema of Camden; several grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Pleasant Ridge Assembly of God Church with burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Mary Jo Taylor, the Rev. Pete Elliott and Timothy Ray officiated the service.
