— Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Youth of Bearden receives Grant. The Greater Mt. Olive Youth Department will be offering a comprehension reading program to help students prepare for spring testing. Interested Students/Parents should contact Mrs. Katherine Moore at 608-9259. This program is made possible in part with the support of the Ouachita Valley Community Foundation which is an affiliate of Arkansas Community Foundation. The Purpose of the 2,000.00 Grant is to purchase the researched based-reading comprehension program— “The 12 Powerful Words” by Larry Bell. TV Monitors and/or accompanying equipment and software are requirements for this program along with other needed materials. (Posters, books, etc) Without this grant the youth would not be able to receive the extra help needed in test preparation and reading comprehension.
