The Rho Phi Sigma Chapter (Camden) of The Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., made a $1,000 donation to the Sickle Cell Clinic at Arkansas Children’s Hospital recently. Making the presentation were Marcus Maurice Calaham, RPS’s Social Action Director, and chapter member Stephen Walls, to Dr. Suzane Saccente, hematologist and RN Angela Mull, Sickle Cell specialty nurse, of the Sickle Cell Program at Children’s. The donation was a portion of the proceeds from RPS’s Inaugural Benefit Golf Tournament held in September. The event is a component of the fraternity’s national Social Action Program, which involves the membership in fund raising activities that support organizations sharing our vision and promoting health awareness to encourage prevention of health challenges and health maintenance. Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., is partnered with the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America.
