OCMC to host COVID-19 clinics

Ouachita County Medical Center will host two COVID-19 vaccination clinics this week utilizing the Pfizer vaccine.

The first will be held in downtown Chidester on Thursday, April 8; and the second will be at the OCMC Green Center on Friday, April 9.

Vaccinations are available by appointment and may be scheduled by calling (870) 836-5015. All OCMC employees and volunteers can set up a vaccination appointment by contacting Employee Health.

All Arkansan adults are now eligible for vaccination. Adolescents 16 or older are also authorized to receive the Pfizer vaccine with the consent of a parent or guardian.

COVID-19 vaccines have been proven to be both safe and effective with almost 150 million doses administered in the United States. For more information on COVID-19 vaccines, visit healthy.arkansas.gov or cdc.gov/coronavirus.

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences will also be holding a health clinic in the area on Tuesday, June 8. Its mobile “Mammovan” will be at the CABUN Rural Health Services
