CAMDEN — ROBERT A. HOLMES

Robert Allen Holmes, age 69 of Bearden died Monday, January 18, 2021 at Dallas County Medical Center in Fordyce. He was born April 18, 1951 in Bearden, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Holmes and Mary Evelyn Beard Holmes; three brothers, Jim Holmes, Jerry Holmes and Billy Ray Holmes; and his beloved dog, Lucy. He is survived by his wife, Susan Quarles Holmes of Bearden; two sons, Paul Holmes of Arlington, TX, Alan Holmes of Bearden; one daughter, Shelley Ballard and husband Jeff of Bearden; one brother, David Holmes of Naples, FL; two grandchildren, Maddie Ballard of Bearden, Stew Ballard and wife Anna of Rison; two great grandchildren, Grady and Curtis Ballard of Rison. Visitation will be Wednesday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Thursday at Salem Cemetery near Bearden with Rev. Jimmy Owens officiating.
